Once upon a time I heard my darling say – let’s go out. So I got dressed and jumped into the car only to find out he was going to the Home Depot!! Walking around the hardware store wasn’t particularly comfortable in my high heels.
A few years ago my hubby and I had a party invitation. I spent a few hours in the kitchen getting ready the couple of dishes to bring for the pot luck. I also got the kids fed and dressed for bed before the babysitter arrived. Because I was running around so much I put on my jeans. I asked my husband how I looked. I heard him say very nice.
When we arrived at the party all the men were in ties and jackets and the ladies in dresses. I asked my husband what was going on, he said it was a formal party setting. The invitation said – NO JEANS! He could have told me that! I should have given him a good kick. I bet he wasn’t paying any attention when I asked him how I looked earlier at home. Apart from the initial shock, we had a great time at the party, told everyone our story and we had a great laugh.
